Driving Directions to SFBI

FROM SAN FRANCISCO

(Travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes.)

1. Take 101 SOUTH, toward San Jose.
2. Take the GRAND AVENUE exit.
3. At the end of the ramp turn LEFT at the first light onto AIRPORT BLVD.
4. Turn LEFT at the first light onto GRAND AVE, and head east. Proceed on GRAND AVE, which becomes E. GRAND AVE After you pass under the 101 Freeway Bridge, stay on E. GRAND AVEfor approximately 1 mile.
5. Turn LEFT onto DNA way The Hilltop Business Center Sign will be in the center of the entrance to DNA way.Drive up the hill approximately .2 miles.
6. SFBI is located at the second driveway on the RIGHT. Look for the SFBI Sign at 525 DNA way (previously 480 GRANDVIEW DR.) There is a large sculpture, The Wind Harp, behind our building.

FROM THE EAST BAY – BAY BRIDGE

(Travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes from the East side of the Bay Bridge.)

1. Start at the Oakland Bay Bridge. (The toll is $5.)
2. Take 101 SOUTH, toward San Jose. You will travel approximately 7.3 miles.
3. Take the GRAND AVENUE exit.
4. At the end of the ramp turn LEFT at the first light onto AIRPORT BLVD.
5. Turn LEFT at the first light onto GRAND AVE, heading east. Proceed on GRAND AVE, which becomes E. GRAND AVE after you pass under the 101 Freeway Bridge. Stay on E. GRAND AVE for approximately 1 mile.

FROM THE SOUTH BAY/PENINSULA

(or from SFO Airport)

1. Take 101 NORTH toward San Francisco.
2. Take the GRAND AVENUE exit.
3. At the end of the ramp turn RIGHT at the first light ontoAIRPORT BLVD.
4. Turn RIGHT at the first light onto GRAND AVE, heading east. Proceed on GRAND AVE, which becomes E. GRAND AVE after you pass under the 101 Freeway Bridge. Stay on E. GRAND AVE. for approximately 1 mile.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO

Using BART with BART Shuttle
(Travel time is approximately 40-50 minutes.)
PLEASE NOTE: SHUTTLE DOES NOT RUN ON WEEKENDS.

1. As our shuttles are arranged to pick up and drop off students taking courses at SFBI, this option only works for the visitor
   who plans to arrive at, or depart from, SFBI between 5:00am-10:00am and 3:00pm-6:30pm.
2. From any downtown San Francisco BART station, take a MILLBRAE, DALY CITY or SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Train.
3. Deboard at SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO Station.
4. Take the UTAH-GRAND Shuttle from the South San Francisco Station.
5. Find the UTAH-GRAND Shuttle by exiting the station to the North, or your right hand side, toward El Camino High School on Old Mission Rd. Walk down the steps/ramp to the sign marked #6. Please be sure to tell the shuttle driver to stop at CABOT/ALLERTON. The shuttle ride takes about 30 minutes.
6. Deboard shuttle at the CABOT/ALLERTON stop.
7. Turn LEFT and walk east toward DNA way.
8. Walk up DNA way as it winds up the hill. SFBI is on the right hand side, at 525 DNA way (previously 480 GRANDVIEW DR), near the top of the hill about .2 miles. FROM SAN FRANCISCO

Using SamTrans Bus Line
(Travel time is approximately 60-75 minutes.)

1. From the West Corner Of Mission Street and 5th Street, board the ROUTE 292 HILLSDALE.
2. Get off at the AIRPORT BLVD (Shell Station) stop; walk east down GRAND AVE, toward the Bay. After you walk under the freeway bridge, the street turns into E. GRAND AVE. This is about a 1 mile walk.
3. Turn LEFT onto DNA way. The Hilltop Business Center Sign will be in the center of the entrance to DNA way. This is about a .2-mile walk.
4. Walk up DNA way as it winds up the hill. SFBI is on the right hand side, at 525 DNA way (previously 480 GRANDVIEW DR), near the top of the hill about .2 miles. There is a large sculpture, The Wind Harp, behind our building.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO

Using CalTrain with CalTrain Shuttle
(Travel time is approximately 40 minutes.)
PLEASE NOTE: SHUTTLE DOES NOT RUN ON WEEKENDS.

1. Board CalTrain from the corner of 4th Street and King Street. Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes during commute hours.
2. Get off CalTrain at the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO Station.
3. Look for the UTAH-GRAND Shuttle. The shuttle should mention PCA or commute.org. Please make sure to tell the shuttle driver to stop at CABOT/ALLERTON.
4. Deboard at the CABOT/ALLERTON stop and walk to your LEFT(east) toward DNA way.
5. Walk up DNA way as it winds up the hill. SFBI is on the right hand side, at 525 DNA way (previously 480 GRANDVIEW DR), near the top of the hill about .2 miles. There is a large sculpture, The Wind Harp, behind our building.The Shuttle is free for the students.

1. Turn LEFT onto DNA way at the entrance of SFBI. Walk downhill to Cabot Rd.
2. Turn RIGHT on CABOT and walk until you arrive at the CABOT/ALLERTON Shuttle Stop. You will see a sign that says UTAH-GRAND.

Board the shuttle that says UTAH-GRAND CalTrain.

The Shuttle is free for the students.

Ferry from Oakland to South San Francisco

There is a new ferry that departs from Jack London Square and arrives at South San Francisco. To see schedule and more information, please visit: San Francisco Bay Ferry

At the South San Francisco port please use the UTAH-GRAND shuttle to arrive to The San Francisco Baking Institute. The San Francisco Baking Institute shuttle stop is Cabot/Allerton.
